The aim of the meeting was to present recent progress in the photocatalytic applications, standardization and testing methods in order to support involved industry as well as to protect customers. The motto of the meeting: to understand each other in fundamental research we need the common testing method language, to succeed in application we need to be reliable to users.
During the meeting representatives and experts from COST Action 540 European countries as well as PIAJ experts (PIAJ- Photocatalytic Industry Association of Japan) gave brief survey about actual situation regarding photocatalytic applications and testing towards industrial applications in their countries. Invited experts from academia active on testing and standardization, partners from photocatalytic industry in Europe, and beside PIAJ, CEN and ISO representatives active in the field of photocatalysis and standardization were participated on the meeting. Exhibitions and demonstrations of existing and proposed ISO methods and testing devices available in Japan end Europe were provided during the meeting. The CEN TC386 meeting in Prague after that followed on 27-28 May 2009. Final program of the COST540 meeting in Liblice is attached including photo of participants of the meeting. Talks, exhibitions and posters presented at the meeting are available at the website for download as pdf files through authorized access.
